With such a high rate of divorce nowadays in the North American region, and even across the ocean in Western Europe, why do people bother to fall in love? Love nowadays consists of prenuptual financial agreements, wary investors afraid to let their loved ones touch their money, and the constant need to check over your shoulder to watch what your "soulmate" is spending on. What happened to the good old days where you go one date, your parents converse, and you are walking down the aisle a year later. Divorce was highly frowned upon, and there was no such thing as "cheating". Divorce is now more of an every day thing. Instead of the one oddball child in the classroom with only one parent, its becoming more rare to have one child with two happily devoted in love parents that have only married once. Why is it that people are falling in "love" with such a guard up. Love has lost all meaning when you are constantly scared and alert about shared finances.
