ImageThe conflict between Russia and Georgia is a good example why the world needs a policeman. The world needs the middleman to show rival sides how to play by the rules. When Europe was in trouble during War World Two; America intervened and with the British helped the Allies win the war.

Later the bipolar world of the cold-war era help maintain peace and balance in the world. America and Russia were cautious about not deteorriating relations to the point of a nuclear conflict.
Today American economy is brought to its knees and with that also affecting its influence in the world. America needs a change in mentality when it comes to the internal matters. It needs to show the world that it still stands for justice & freedom.

While houses are set ablaze in Georgia can we really afford another policeman of  the likes of Russia?

Bosnian Serb wartime president Radovan Karadzic, wanted for genocide and inhumane acts against the Bosnian muslim population was arrested on Monday after nearly 13 years on the run.
He has been accused of 15 charges including the slaughter of 8,000 Muslim men after Serbian military commander Ratko Mladic's forces seized the UN "safe area" of Srebrenica in eastern Bosnia.

"Karadzic was brought to the investigative judge of the War Crimes Court in Belgrade, in accordance with the law on cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY)," said the statement coming from the office of Serbian president Boris Tadic.

Serb nationalists see the arrest of Radovan Karadzic as a national travesty but for the victims it is a moral victory of justice.
